Hey everyone. I'm in Thailand on a DTV and I was wondering what the process is of buying a motorcycle. I've been renting for a few months, but planning on buying one for myself. Do I need a resident certificate? Insurance? Registration? I've seen a lot of mentions of "green book" too. Anything I should be vary or mindful of?

Driving licence as a tourist. For clarity does anyone know if you can get a DL as a tourist? The driving licence in most DLTs requires a residence certifcate, which requires a long term visa. I've seen many reports that tourists are getting a DL, any thoughts or did I miss something

Hey, my 90-day mark on my DTV visa is coming up, so I need to do my 90-day report. I heard the first one has to be in person. Can I send a visa agent to handle it for me? Hello, I decided to get a driver's license so that they can recognize my European license, but they are making me translate the legend into English. Has anyone had a similar problem and is there an office in Bangkok that I can go to without a translation? I was at Mo Chit's office.

Do immigration still offer the "certificate of residence" I have to do my 5 year driving licence and in previous years used a combination of Yellow and Blue book. But in the new world if closer foreigner scrutiny I think they might want a certificate of residence. I'm in Prachinburi.

Visited the immigration office at Blue Tree, Phuket today to get the Certificate of Residence for myself and my wife.

We submitted our TM30 and passport with entry stamp — they didn’t ask for our DTV printout.

We were charged 1,000 baht each and told to collect the certificate the next day. It’s all done quickly and smoothly.

We needed the document for vehicle purchase and Thai driving license.

However, I’ve seen posts here mentioning 300–500 baht fees and a one-week wait.

Just wondering — did we overpay, or is this the new standard now?
