Update: My DTV was approved on April 8th!

Thank you so much to everyone in this group for the invaluable advice and support throughout the process. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

P.S. would recommend staying in Australia until you receive a decision.

Hi guys! I submitted my DTV application (soft power Muai Thai) on March 6th in Australia (Canberra) and included my Australian visa as well as my VEVO to indicate I was onshore when I submitted the application. And today they requested me to upload the VEVO again. Does anyone know what this is about?

Has anyone here ever had to apply for a Thai police clearance in order to obtain a visa for another country? I lived in Thailand for over 12 months so need a police clearance to apply for a certain Australian visa, however I lived there over two years ago and the application forms ask for things like current Thai work visa, resident Thai address etc, things which I now do not have. Would greatly appreciate any advice or experiences of other people who have been through the process.

What is the best proof of location document to use for the Sydney embassy?

Applying for my DTV from my home country (Australia) since I'm here visiting family until the end of January.

Thing is I'm no longer a resident here (I work in Hong Kong). I'm going to use my valid Australian driver's license. Will this be enough?

Because when I'm here in Sydney I live with my parents and don't have utility bills under my name. Ones under my name are bills in HK.

Under the '& more' category.

I'm planning to head to Melbourne Aus in October for about a week to visit friends and family. (I'm a UK citizen so that's easy)

I'd like to take my Thai partner with me. Can anyone whose done it recently advise on the type of short term visa for a thai citizen and what Aus immigration will look for in terms of requirements?

Has anyone applied for the DTV (Husband/ Main Applicant) and Dependants (Wife + Children) in different countries?

I’m wondering if we would risk having our application denied?

We were planning to apply from Australia and then leave in July 2025 as a family but my father (in Germany) just had major heart problems and myself & the kids really need to fly to Germany immediately to be with him.

Do you think it’ll be ok for my husband to still lodge his application in Australia and for myself & the kids to lodge ours (sponsored by husband) in Germany?

We would then still meet up in Bangkok in July if all our visas get approved.

Can anyone see any problems with this?

I have a 12 month visa so my gf can visit me in Australia 4 30days at a time. Am I required to provide a return flight when booking or can I get it just before 30 days in case she gets homesick and does not want to stay for 30 days.

Does anyone know of a good Visa agent either in Patong or buriram or Bangkok? We have just had a holiday Visa application to Australia rejected for my partner because of mistakes made by my current agent. We really don't want to have to start again but may have to.

Any help appreciated
