You need to get your 90 day Non O in your own country as you will NOT be able to open a bank account. I spoke to one agent in Bangkok who can do it, but they want 60,000 baht per person, they say they are able to open the account as you will be applying for the Visa. Today they sent a message saying they had so many customers wanting it that they don’t know how long they will be able to do it for.

I’m already here and have everything sorted for myself, but my wife moves later in the year and I’ve been looking at all the options.

an agent told me today that there has been over 300,000 Thai bank accounts closed down and it’s reported that around 1,000,000 Thai bank accounts will be closed down, it’s about money laundering.

I was told by an agent the rules changes recently and you’ll struggle to open a bank account unless your over 50

That won’t show up on any check, even an enhanced one. I get them all the time for staff as we do work in schools in the U.K.

I always ask the staff before applying if they think there might be anything and when it comes things older than 10 years that are not serious enough are not on them
