While this doesn't apply to me at the present time (as I already own 2 vehicles, a car and a motorcycle), and don't intend on selling or purchasing any vehicles anytime soon, but can anyone shed some light on this topic?
Some kind of "permit" is required for foreigners purchasing vehicles in Thailand? That concerns me, but perhaps it's being overhyped when in fact it may be nothing at all.
In the comments section of the video, one guy seems to confirm it only applies in Chumphon province and it's a simple 5 Baht document from the Land Transport Department.
Just wondering if anyone has purchased a vehicle recently and had to produce anything beyond the usual passport + residence permit (from immigration or your embassy) OR yellow book OR work permit + fill in the forms provided by the seller or showroom?
