yes - that is what we did and it was fine .. as stated we went to next level and. Got leave to enter / leave to remain and if complete 5 full years your wife can apply for UK passport - this will also be in her maiden name unless she decides to change .. it is up to you

no she does not —- we did exactly as you are planning … my wife has since changed names .. but she had a spouse visa and even leave to enter UK permit on maiden name .. it will be fine

Hi Craig . I have had both retirement and Thai Wife . If u never going to work in thailand i think get retirement . Converting from one to the other is very tiresome … getting the visa in country is probably best option . U can book online at immigration for a time .. cheers

- i think he was on visa exemption not a tourist visa .. if he had a visa they would let him in

- not easy at all actually . Assume she speaks fluent Thai. That would give her some chance .. but just about all business in Thailand is conducted in Thai

There are very very few jobs for expats in construction. It is hard to find work in any sector to be frank. If you were to find work,your visa will not cover your defacto....
