TLDR : Answer Summary
The type of visa needed to enter Thailand depends on your nationality, the duration of your stay, and the purpose of your visit. Many travelers from certain countries can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days (visa exemption). Visitors planning to stay longer can apply for a tourist visa online for a duration of 60 days, which can be extended. It's recommended to check your local Thai Embassy's website for specific guidelines related to your circumstances.

Have you noticed that no matter how easy things get, people still ask someone else to do the work, modernism.

Search the group before asking questions.

Especialy if you are new to the group.
Istvan *********
Do you know Google search is an amazing tool? I guess if you can type this post here, you can type the question in Google search too. And even this group have a search function... Groups do not equal Google searches..

Just been accepted and already find just another site of keyboard warriors and I agreed to be Freindly and polite to be accepted 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m not particularly bright when it comes to governments sites and form filling so I’ll guess I’ll go on tiktok because if it’s on there it’s has to be accurate 😔
Sue **********
If your U.K. passport, you get 30day visa exemption. So you don’t need to apply for anything, unless your planning a trip longer than 30days

Open borders like Mexico-USA
Steve *******
Nothing to do with nationality, American or not - I am not American but I guess because of the way I raised my children I could be construed to be American on this site.
Steve *******
Bob, you are asking a rudimentary question without doing even the basic search for the information you seek. It's like being too lazy to "try" to find the answers yourself prior to asking for assistance/help. We help those who help themselves. We are not here for lazy individuals who seem to have the intelligence to seek and gather most of what they are looking for easily, on 1 website... there is an expectation for those who are able to at least try.

Why would a moderator even approve a post like this? It should’ve been declined with feedback asking the OP to provide the critical information.

Just Google it 😂 these pages get so rammed up with silly questions you should be looking up in Google and the immigration sites. Your own government website for your country will even have the information on 😂

You should start with the Thai Embassy website for your country.

You are such a crass, spineless, pathetic neanderthal.

The only one who needs to crawl back under a rock is you. You have the emotional maturity of a 9 year old and that's being generous.

@Robert ************
Ok, then you meet the economic requirement for a long time stay in Thailand. Next question would be how old are you and how long do you wish to stay?

Your refusal to do basic research deserves the derision you will receive.

Your laziness is duly noted, as is your rudeness.

Oooh, everyone, fill me up; I’m too lazy to google the embassy website.

Hi Bonnie. Do not waste your time arguing with this ingrate. He is just a " troll " spouting a lot of derogatory comments throughout the post. Sad, really. Rather immature for his age, methinks.

Lawrence *******
@Robert ************
Let's be honest. You provided no country of origin, purpose of visit, or how long you planned on staying. Brain dead ? Really ? Sounds more like the pot calling the kettle black. You are not helpful in the least. Information providers we are but mind readers we are not.
Andy **********
He's British, judging from lion wrapped in a British flag on his profile. Unlike Thais wishing to have a holiday in UK, he doesn't have to pay a visa fee, ruinously expensive agents, he doesn't even need a visa for a 30 day visit. Wish the UK would reciprocate. He might be pleased to know he can still get a fry up and a Sunday roast in Thailand.

Robert---Best advice I can give is as suggested look at your countries web site for Visa advice. Look at this FB webpage a lot. And on FB there are many other helpful pages. Come on back here when you have narrowed down some questions.. The Admin here is top notch !

What passport do you use?

Part of the answer is to check the website for the Thai consulate in your country.

You ever think of looking at the Thai Embassy website in your country. Sheesh

your funny you should open a clown advice service for idiots like yourself
Stefani ********
@Frank *********
perhaps you shouldn’t be on this page if you don’t have patience for people that are just learning how to navigate the system
Frank **********
@Stefani *******
it's common sense to check the Embassy website where you can get the information you need. If you cannot "navigate" your way to the website maybe someone shouldn't be traveling.
Ruth *******
@Frank *********
maybe some folks aren’t seasoned travelers.
Sheen ************
@Ruth ******
so many seem to want everything handed on plate by others. People travelled for centuries before the Internet and had to navigate. Plenty of books and Google then ask for assistance if still have a problem.
Ruth *******
@Sheen ***********
and during those centuries there wasn’t a Facebook group specifically for advice. Isn’t efficiency wonderful? As ive mentioned already, Google is now crap because there’s too much garbage out there (for example, the website posing as the Thai embassy that is not). If you have a problem with people asking for advice, you may be the who is lost.

explain to me why is this page call a visa advice service page for thailand r cant you read.
Frank **********
@Robert ************
I know what it is but why not check the Website first and if you have questions then ask. That is what I did. I checked the Embassy website in the US, googled some info then asked for additional information in the forum. I apologize for being rude at the end.
Jan ******************
Citizens from this list can enter on 30 days visa exemption which can be extended for another 30 days at the local immigration.
Paul ********
Many options, depends on how long you are staying, nationality and possibly even age.
Antonio *******
less typing this then google it.
Roger *******
Best advice I can give you is please learn how to use Google before coming to Thailand. It’ll come in very handy.
