TLDR : Answer Summary
The type of visa needed to enter Thailand depends on your nationality, the duration of your stay, and the purpose of your visit. Many travelers from certain countries can enter Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days (visa exemption). Visitors planning to stay longer can apply for a tourist visa online for a duration of 60 days, which can be extended. It's recommended to check your local Thai Embassy's website for specific guidelines related to your circumstances.

Have you noticed that no matter how easy things get, people still ask someone else to do the work, modernism.

Search the group before asking questions.
Especialy if you are new to the group.

Do you know Google search is an amazing tool? I guess if you can type this post here, you can type the question in Google search too. And even this group have a search function... Groups do not equal Google searches..

Just been accepted and already find just another site of keyboard warriors and I agreed to be Freindly and polite to be accepted 🤷🏻♂️
I’m not particularly bright when it comes to governments sites and form filling so I’ll guess I’ll go on tiktok because if it’s on there it’s has to be accurate 😔

If your U.K. passport, you get 30day visa exemption. So you don’t need to apply for anything, unless your planning a trip longer than 30days

Open borders like Mexico-USA

Nothing to do with nationality, American or not - I am not American but I guess because of the way I raised my children I could be construed to be American on this site.

Bob, you are asking a rudimentary question without doing even the basic search for the information you seek. It's like being too lazy to "try" to find the answers yourself prior to asking for assistance/help. We help those who help themselves. We are not here for lazy individuals who seem to have the intelligence to seek and gather most of what they are looking for easily, on 1 website... there is an expectation for those who are able to at least try.

Why would a moderator even approve a post like this? It should’ve been declined with feedback asking the OP to provide the critical information.

Just Google it 😂 these pages get so rammed up with silly questions you should be looking up in Google and the immigration sites. Your own government website for your country will even have the information on 😂

You should start with the Thai Embassy website for your country.
tell me whats the point of this page been called a "Thai advice page" for visas theres so many dumb replies on here..this page should be renamed "Advice from dumb arse clowns".
Hi Bonnie. Do not waste your time arguing with this ingrate. He is just a " troll " spouting a lot of derogatory comments throughout the post. Sad, really. Rather immature for his age, methinks.
Let's be honest. You provided no country of origin, purpose of visit, or how long you planned on staying. Brain dead ? Really ? Sounds more like the pot calling the kettle black. You are not helpful in the least. Information providers we are but mind readers we are not.

He's British, judging from lion wrapped in a British flag on his profile. Unlike Thais wishing to have a holiday in UK, he doesn't have to pay a visa fee, ruinously expensive agents, he doesn't even need a visa for a 30 day visit. Wish the UK would reciprocate. He might be pleased to know he can still get a fry up and a Sunday roast in Thailand.
depends on country /passport and purpose of your visit

Robert---Best advice I can give is as suggested look at your countries web site for Visa advice. Look at this FB webpage a lot. And on FB there are many other helpful pages. Come on back here when you have narrowed down some questions.. The Admin here is top notch !

Part of the answer is to check the website for the Thai consulate in your country.

You ever think of looking at the Thai Embassy website in your country. Sheesh
it's common sense to check the Embassy website where you can get the information you need. If you cannot "navigate" your way to the website maybe someone shouldn't be traveling.
so many seem to want everything handed on plate by others. People travelled for centuries before the Internet and had to navigate. Plenty of books and Google then ask for assistance if still have a problem.
and during those centuries there wasn’t a Facebook group specifically for advice. Isn’t efficiency wonderful? As ive mentioned already, Google is now crap because there’s too much garbage out there (for example, the website posing as the Thai embassy that is not). If you have a problem with people asking for advice, you may be the who is lost.
I know what it is but why not check the Website first and if you have questions then ask. That is what I did. I checked the Embassy website in the US, googled some info then asked for additional information in the forum. I apologize for being rude at the end.
