SAWATDEE KHA, when I apply for my DTV and my husband as my dependant, would he need to enter Thailand the same time I do or can he come afterwards? TIA

How many days after obtaining the DTV do we have to enter Thailand? Is there a time limit? What happens if we enter like 2-3 months later ?

I stayed in Thailand for 30 days from December 1 to January 1 I was hoping to come back in may for a month which is 4 months out of Thailand? Is this likely to be rejected I am reading only 2 exempt entries per year (Canada passport). In the past I would come for a month 2-3 times a year without issue and maybe a weekend here or there but heard they are detaining and deporting tourists who stay for 3-4 weeks now at a time. Can anyone give more explanation

Good morning, just 15 minutes ago at Souvarnabhumi through immigration. As always 60 days, about 2 to a maximum of 3 times a year. I was strongly advised to come up with a visa next time to enter, as 60 days are not a tourist stay.

If I apply and get accepted do they have to know what date I will arrive in Thailand to collect the Visa? Can I enter several months later after submittal? Not sure when I will re-enter but I would like to secure this visa in the event things change. Thank you

I’m a US citizen planning on traveling to Thailand in September on my third visa exemption in 2025. I was reading someone getting denied and sent back home doing this recently. My plan was to go onward to Vietnam after a month in Thailand and apply for the DTV in HCMC. Has anyone else heard of someone getting denied on their third visa exemption entry by air? Lastly I wanted to set up a condo to rent while I am there on the tourist visa to come back to after hopefully getting approved for the DTV in Vietnam, any advice on this?
