Renew indefinitely if your circumstances don't change.

OA is an option for multiple one year entries if you have insurance coverage until the expiration date which is a year after approval date.

O visa is generally 90 days single entry.

Anonymous member you'd probably get better answers if you advised your nationality, current taxation country, visa status, long term plans to stay in Thailand because with a simple strategy of not being here 180 days your whole enquiry is moot regarding Thailand.
