I applied at the Thai Embassy in Berlin and got it approved one week later.
The process was quite straightforward:
-I submitted my full employment contract along with a note from my employer (a remote-first company) confirming my role, salary, and that I can work remotely (no country specifics mentioned).
- I met the 500,000 THB financial requirement by showing funds in my account on the day of submission (the balance was below that beforehand, but it was accepted without issue).
- I selected the flights/hotels I intend to take but they never asked for proof.
- I got one request to prove my residency in Germany, which I did by showing my ID card
I hope this is helpful to some, if you have any questions let me know.
do the documents, such as the employment contract, have to be translated and certified into English or Thai, or is just a translation sufficient? Or none of the above?
Hi I’m thinking about apply for a DTV in Vietnam based on workcation, but I will only be able to supply 2 months pay slips amd a full time employment contract for a uk company and show the money in the bank a few days before applying will this be a problem?
Could use some advice. I applied to us LA embassy as a freelancer, so I do not have a registered business. I attached a pdf with a cover letter to indicate I am a freelancer. But received the following back:
* Other request documents: Please upload a business registration of the company
* Other request documents: Please describe a business portfolio of the company
* Other request documents: Your recent tax return
* Other request documents: Employment contract or employment certificate from company
* Other request documents: Guarantee letter from the company implies that you work remotely
Majority of my work is with another company that is registered and I have a freelance contract with them. I could also have them easily write me a letter indicating I can work remotely. Would that be the best option moving forward? I am mostly confused about the document "Please describe a business portfolio of the company" as I thought the PDF below would suffice.
I have a remote job (not self employed, regular job). I have pay slips and work contract, but in my country I can’t easily get papers from the official tax authority quickly, and I want to apply soon. Is it possible with just my contract and payslips?
Hi. I applied to DTV visa with my UK company (i am the only owner). I submitted personal bank account statement from another country. I am in Laos Vientiane now.
They asked me to submit some extra documents: my employment contract and my portfolio.
What dociments exactly shall I bring?
1. Shall I sign an employment contract with a company that I am working with for long time like a client or just show my UK company again (I had submitted Certificate of incorporation and MoA but they needed the extra documents) or sign an employment contract as uk company owner with myself as working for my own uk company?
