I wanted to circle back and share my experience since I leaned on this group so much during my DTV application process. I submitted my application on 8/15/25 through the NYC Consulate (USA) and received approval on 9/13/25.

I applied as self-employed and included all the requested documentation along with a clear cover letter. I wasn’t asked for any additional information, and the process went straight through to approval. We’ll be flying out on 11/22 and are excited to begin our lease in Chiang Mai. If anyone has questions about the process, feel free to ask — happy to share what I can!

Hey has anyone successfully got the DTV with a history of education visas?

I recently submitted my application in Hanoi. I forgot to add my employers official company registration certificate and LLC papers. I did include the employment contract, attestation letter about how my income is 100% online from the USA and my resume. I do consulting so there is no portfolio to give them. Should I be panicking about those documents not being there? Is there a way to add them post-submission?

I’m stupid and forgot to do the 90-day report. I just figured out and next week I have a flight to Krabi. What will be the consequences for that? Do I need to pay a fine when flying domestic? On a DTV for Muay Thai. My gym membership is almost up for renewal, considering trying other gyms with DTV. Anyone out there do this yet? Any issues with the visa or need to report anything?

Are 3 month tourist visas one use only? For example, could I have been here for 2 weeks, fly to Europe for a month and enter Thailand again for the remainder of my visa?

If you land at bkk on a normal 60 day visa can you get a non o after that

Entry reports:

Mid 2024, 1st entry after DTV- no questions

Early 2025 border run- no questions

Today (flying in after border run)- asked if I speak Thai, likely due to previous edu visas. I do, and then was asked in Thai for my address and what my work is. No hassle, all is good. Grateful for the DTV!

I applied and paid for the DTV application online as a freelancer, from Canada, on September 9. Today on September 18, my application status is still pending document check.

The flight arrival date to Thailand I submitted is October 16, 2025.

Is this timeline normal?

It seems many people in this group are getting progress sooner. Thank you.

My Wise transfer deposits (using Funds for Long Term Stay method) from Canada to Kasikorn Bank show this in my bank statement......
