I am leaving for Thailand on retirement visa initially with non O visa via Siamlegal.
As understood Australian Authorities allowed maximum A$ 10000 in cash carriage to overseas. I have WISE ACCOUNT and TRAVEL MONEY CARD and COMMON BANK ACCOUNT. My question is what is the best way to transfer the money requirement of THB 800000 in Thai Bank account for retirement visa. I am looking foward your valued inputs.

Swift transfer to friend’s Bangkok bank is possible? Will the EU bank allow this?
Wise/revolut I am afraid they would freeze the money and start asking all sort of questions and would be a nightmare to stay in touch with them.
Should I come to Thailand, open a bank account and then transfer there and then to my friend?
If so on what visa could I do this? I leave elite visa as my last option(expensive and I don’t really need to be that much in Thai for the next 5 years)
I have an account with Krungsri Bank which unfortunately limits transfers via Wise to 50k baht per transaction I’m in the US now so considering transferring a larger amount via IBAN (bank to bank) Am I still restricted on the amount and will I benefit in regards to fees? Thanks
I'm ready to transfer 800,000 to my account with Bangkok Bank. I have to use Revolut and transfer using SWIFT international banking. Do I need to show a narrative linking the transactions?. My Thai account is in married name and Euro account is in birth name. Identy is not a problem as both names are in my passport. Is thete a way of adding a narrative to appear in both accounts?
