I plan on staying in Thailand for 3 to 6 months then returning to the UK for 1 month then flying out to again for another 3 to 6 months, could this be done on a Tourist Visa or would i need a 1 year single / multiple entry Visa
Hi, with the new rules coming in this week, I’m not sure how it’s going to impact my future plans. So in the next 1-2 years, I was to get a visa to stay long term. So I guess I have 2 options, 1)arrive and get a 2 monthVOA, and then work with an agent when I’m here to get my LTV, or should I arrange it all when I’m back in UK? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated
Hello everyone, I'm working on my DTV visa. I have a question for the experienced among us. When entering Thailand, were you asked to show a ticket for a flight out of Thailand? I'm debating whether to close a ticket when I don't know when I'll be leaving Thailand during the year.😊
I’m getting the LTR visa for wealthy pensioners, I have everything i need. My only question is to those who have used this visa. When you got your BOI letter and then went to the consulate and had your visa stamped where you told how many days you have to enter Thailand? I can’t seem to find any info for this question and AI couldn’t find any specific reference to it. Looking forward to your reply.
My wife and I, along with our four children (one of whom has special needs), are planning a long-term move to Thailand in early 2026. Our son with special needs will be receiving stem cell therapy in Bangkok, and we hope to settle down long-term near Jomtien Beach, Pattaya.
During his therapy sessions, I’ll be traveling with him to Bangkok for a week at a time, while the rest of the family stays in Pattaya.
My wife is a disabled U.S. veteran and receives a guaranteed monthly income of about USD 4,500 (~166,000 THB). We can provide full documentation of this income, along with supporting bank statements.
We’re currently trying to figure out the best visa pathway for a family of six that:
1️⃣ Accommodates dependents (spouse + children),
2️⃣ Doesn’t require a large upfront 3-month bank deposit, and
3️⃣ Allows long-term residence with minimal renewal hassle.
If anyone here has experience with family moves like this — or can recommend a reliable visa agent or immigration lawyer who handles complex family or medical cases — we’d really appreciate your advice 🙏
Thank you all for your time and any recommendations you can share ❤️
Quick question: I'm applying for a DTV visa from Germany and then flying to Bangkok with a one-way ticket and on to Chiang Mai. Do I actually need a return ticket? The officials can see in the system that I have a long-term visa, right?
