Got one yesterday at Jomtien. Submitted at 9am ready at 11am. Had the form and printout of passport and entry stamp & house registration. Counter 10 first to get TM30 copy, then submit and pay at counter 9. Went had breakfast and a foot massage then collected it. No agent required if your paperwork is in order. Even got a park right out front.

Obliged no. Can you yes. Do you have to no. I'm married for 10 years but here on DTV, because that's the visa that suits my situation. Either can work it's up to you.

On the site where you apply each section that requires an attachment only allows one. The way around this is to print your documents and then scan them to a single PDF. Most modern scanners/printers will let you keep adding pages until you are done. This is how you attach a 4 page bank statement as a single document. You can use online tools but then you are sharing your important documents on a web site so you have to be certain it is legit nand safe.

Adam Thom Wise is not a bank so it needs to use a local bank as a clearing house. It used to be Bangkok Bank and changed a few months back to Kasikorn. So yes all transfers via wise to a Thai bank account are still routed via Kasikorn. There was an initial issue with Kasikorn not passing on the reason, evidently it was a language issue with Kasikorn's clearance software not forwarding anything in non-Thai characters. I heard this had since been rectified.

As others (not the rude ones ) have commented it is as simple as applying for the yellow book and then getting a pink ID card. This is all done at your district office but it is anything but simple. Your circumstances are close to mine but I don't know all your details. I needed Kor Ror 22 (Thai marriage certificate) to prove our relationship. You will need this too for the bank as well. We were married in Australia so we needed to go through the process of registering the marriage in Thailand. I won't go into that process as I do not know if it applies to you but it took a while. As well as the KOR Ror 22 I needed translated, certified and legalised copies of my birth certificate and passport. Very important the details on all these documents are the same. Copy of Visa and residency certificate from immigration. Wife needed her blue book and ID card & we also needed two witnesses with their blue book and ID card. You take all your papers along with the witnesses to the local Amphur and if all is good they will submit the documents and for us about a month later we got the yellow book. Once you have the yellow book Pink ID card can be done in a day. If you want any more details on any process please reach out. Note that the process may differ slightly from Amphur to Amphur, any one wants to point out I am wrong we just got the yellow book this month and above is what was required in Bang Lamung Chonburi early 2026.

No you certainly don't have too, in fact it can be difficult to open one on DTV. Additionally there is no rule of DTV that says you can or cannot get a bank account. DTV is a Visa controlled by immigration. Ultimately the banks decide who can and cannot open a bank account. With Kor Ror 22, Residency Certificate, Yellow Book and passport I was able to satisfy the banks to open an account while on DTV.

Any sort of proper paid accommodation like a hotel, they should do it. Staying with friends family then they have to do it. Whoever your staying with can do it online it is quick and simple for them to register. I believe you can even do it online yourself but cannot confirm as my wife does mine.

Yep he's made a mistake - realised and corrected it. It's what is in the system that counts.

I was told by someone who worked at that embassy, If they are busy which they generally are they prioritize applications based on the planned departure date you provided. No need to panic yet.
