Hi, I am an Australian based in Melbourne and have applied for a Non O Immigrant E visa via the embassy in Canberra.

The application was lodged in mid January and is still in the processing stage. My flight is not until mid March but I am starting to have concerns regarding the timing.

I think I saw a recent post where people mentioned similar delays with processing of applications from Canberra.

If I haven't received the visa prior to my flight is it OK to come in as a tourist and do a quick trip to Malaysia once I have got the Visa and use it when re-entering Thailand?

I have to drive up to Sydney soon, I might drop into Canberra on the way for peace of mind.

Are there any Australians who have gone directly to the embassy before? As I cannot see where you can book an appointment for a Visa, no problem for other services but not a visa.

Hi - My DTV application has been pending document review for 2 weeks - anyone else have this experience? I applied through the Thai Lisbon agency on 2/2/26. As of today my application hasn't moved past the first step of document review. No additional info has been requested either.

I applied for the Workation option with a US passport. My financial documents included proof of funds well exceeding the 500k Baht requirement in my savings account. I've followed up via email once to see if they needed any additional documents, but haven't gotten a response to that either.

My flight is booked for mid-April. Has anyone else had a similar experience when applying from Portugal? Can you let me know how long it took for your application to finally be reviewed/fully processed?

I've submitted my DTV application on 29th OCT and got pending approval on 30th OCT. Now, it's been two weeks. I applied at Phenom Penh Thai Embassy Cambodia. Has anyone experienced how long it takes although it says 10 working days. I'm worried and waiting. 🙁

I applied for my multiple entry visa online from the Guangzhou Embassy, China on June 9, 5100 thb, but to date no reply to my emails and it's still showing as "processing" but my flght is THIS Monay (18 July). I am staying for approx 55 days (school summer vacation). I know I can get a 30-day VOA (or exemption in my case as I'm English) but will I be able to go to Chang Wattana on Tus or Wens to get a multiple entry visa? (I am visiting my Thai wife, I am currently working in China).
