Strange one from BKK. Officer said it’ll be okay but not too sure myself. Advice on what to do?

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user reported uncertainty after receiving a potentially incorrect entry stamp at BKK, despite being reassured by the officer. Community comments agree that as long as the correct information is recorded in the immigration electronic system, the individual should be fine. Many shared similar experiences and suggested contacting immigration for confirmation, as mistakes in stamping are common and often corrected in the system.

Happened to my partner so he went to immigration to check his status. It was all okay for DTV on the system.

Stamp corrections are only legal/valid if accompanied by a new stamp.

It is ok.. you no need to panic

Mistake happens from time to time

They are human at the end. Yet it is good you have noticed it. And we advise everyone to check thier stamps always at any country before leaving the immigration zone

You should be fine especially if if you brought it up to the Immigration officer and they said that you are good because they are looking in their internal system.

Yep he's made a mistake - realised and corrected it. It's what is in the system that counts.

Well it's a bit extreme. People in this group just seem not have brains.

A normal person would say just check the computer 🤔

Anonymous participant 851 😂😂😂 It isn't as miserable as posting on a group for confirmation when an official told you it is okay. Some people have zero brain cells. I don't even know how they managed to book a flight on their own without the parents help.

You had the PDF of the DTV printed out and handed it to the officer when you gave him the passport to stamp in RIGHT?

It's totally fine,

Just bad stamped and thankfully it was corrected while you were there (hopefully before you even left passport control)

It's OK. Happens often. As long as it was corrected on the system, any police/Immigration officer can check it on the system. As for hotels, etc., they couldn't care less about "suspicious" stamps.

Don’t worry Thailand moved to recording everything electronically it’s all held on their systems

They even moving to contactless border gates at departure where you no longer get a exit stamp

He handwritten the date. As long as the officer says it's OK then you'll be OK. Your entry is already recorded and also your photograph is in the system

Partecipante anonimo 650 no doubt and hope it's a standard issue

But if not, the agent at the immigration out won't be the same who said to you "it's all

Ok" 😜

Happened to me in Don Muang. The lady stamped me for 60 days even though I told her I have DTV

Then she did her stuff in the computer for few more minutes and got my passport like yours. Wasn't a problem leaving out.

What matters is what they have in the system.

Happens from time to time, and you can assume this will be fine. The stay recorded in the immigration electronic system is the most important element and is likely correct. Just keep your flight ticket, boarding pass, and TDAC.
