Plus you assume that they will stay in thailand the whole time...the beauty of a METV is that you can wake up and say hey i want some Pho in Vietnam, then come back, then a few days later say hey i want to go gamble in Singapore, then come back then say hey I want to shopping in HK then come back, then say hey i have never been to Japan lets go, then come back then say hey lets to Siem Rap...i don't know peoples travel schedule nor do i care...but if you want 9 months out of it you have to do a strategic border bounce days before it expires then get a 30 day extension...you think that everybody comes here and is sedentary in their travels

yes that is self explanatory if you only get stamped in for 60 days at a time then get a 30 day extension per stamp...do i have to Barnify everything for everybody or can i allow people to think on their own????

if short time (Under 1 year) purchase the 6 month METV visa for $200 or pounds i guess in the UK prior to your trip and with a strategic border bounce just days before it expires you can get 9 months out of this visa...each arrival stamp will be for 60 days which you can extend for 30 days at your local immigration office for 1,900THB to get 90 days at a time in country....

or..

you can purchase the 60 day SETV visa for $40 or pounds which with an extension for 30 days at a cost of 1,900THB at your local immigration office gives you 90 days in country

Seeing that you over 50 you can also get a retirement visa

Good luck

another Ed visa, run 6 month METV visas back to back you can get 9 months out of them with a strategic border bounce days before it expires, there is no official limit on how many you can get in a row…downside you can only apply for them in your passport country(s) or a country you’re a legal resident in

The LTR visa if you meet those qualifications

Just go to your local immigration office and see what their requirements are for an extension...

bangkok will allow you to do it the same day as you land (caveat as long as you land M-F within working hours of the Immigration office and have your TM30 taken care of, also you cant extend on Holidays) the cost is 1,900thb for 30 days...

in other locations in Thailand they have their requirements for extending before a certain number of days. (Example some wont allow you to extend until 30 days out to expiration date)

Good luck
