Any updates on banking for DTV holders?

Some people here mentioned that Bangkok bank will start allowing DTV this year. Has anyone tried it in 2025?

Last year I successfully applied for a UK holiday visa for my TGF. This year I want to apply for a Schengen visa to visit Spain. I have 48 pages of docs submitted for last year's visa so I don't need an agent. What I want is help in securing an appointment to deliver the application and support docs from someone who has navigated the system. Cheers.

For proof of place in Thailand, would printing a copy of the rental contract be enough?

I believe many members in this group use and advocate for Revolut?

This is a pretty good story of how security goes wrong. Certainly the victim could have done more to protect themselves but it sounds like Revolut did next to nothing to protect it's customers.

Most certainly any financial service provider should have some security with new accounts and the number of transactions/payments within a period of time.

They save you money because they reduce expenses... Security is apparently one of those expenses

Just before my latest Thai tourist visa expired I thought I would just fly to Phnom phen for few days to visit a friend then fly back in and get 60 days on arrival. I was denied entry , held in don muang immigration cells and made to return to Phnom phen , so I thought sod it and went to Malaysia partly because my passport pages were now full and I got 90 days on arrival ... I've been out Thailand now since 10th august .

Getting the new passport is proving to be a major headache (UK) paid more than three weeks ago and no progress has been made. I think I'll be stuck here until near December . Will I be able to get a visa on arrival after having been out the country 3 + months by time I return.

Due to having also lost my phone and access to my banks getting a tourist visa isn't an option as I've no means to prove proof of funds ...

I'm told from 4th October walk in tourist visa applications cease both here in kl and penang and from 10th it goes e visa ... I can't get the apps on new phone due to having lost old phone number .

Thoughts ...on what to do...appreciated . I suspect it'll be well into November by the time I finally get my new passport . Can't even go in person to UK embassy , online only , the GOV.UK website is abomination ... They just take me on never ending loop, with a different person asking me the same questions everytime I contact the helpline . 😂

A question to a members already live in Thailand.

Do you have such of plan B? Let's say that one day they refuse to extend your retirement visa (by any reason) or they tighten the requirements to a point you gonna feel that you can't complied it.

What you gonna do? Do you have somewhere to go back to at home? Start from scratch? Or maybe move to another country?

Recently the online TM30 system has changed. It now has an ability to “export” (why they didn’t use the word “print” is beyond my levels of reasoning) a PDF document that you can print to use at your local immigration office as needed.

You enter the person staying details as per the required fields (marked with a red asterisk) and submit.

You then search for the inputted information (as long as it’s within 7 days of entry) and next to the persons name is a magnifying glass icon. Click on that and a full screen pops up with their entry details. At the bottom is a button labelled “export” (WTF not use the word print?). Press that and a PDF popup appears allowing you to print the information.

For now most offices will accept a printed screenshot of the inputted information. Now that a print out is available that may change in the future.
