All the info on here has been invaluable, only got one knock back for a ridiculous reason, ie middle initial on my driver license wasn’t acceptable. Next bank, no problem. Shout out to Brandon Thurkettle for answering mine and a lot of newbie questions. For anyone in BKK in the same situation. Go to main Bangkok Bank at Emporium on Sukhumvit. Not sure if it will help, but I went on Sunday at 1pm, and I was the only customer. Best of luck to y’all

I’m currently in Thailand and want to apply for the DTV visa. As far as I know, it can’t be done directly from Thailand. Has anyone experienced this and knows the best way to do it?

I’m considering traveling to a nearby country for a week, like Bali or Sri Lanka, to apply from there. Does anyone know which country is best for this and how long the processing time usually takes?

Since the processing time is unclear, I assume I’d need to book a one-way flight and wait for approval before booking a return ticket – or is there a better way to handle this?

Last year I successfully applied for a UK holiday visa for my TGF. This year I want to apply for a Schengen visa to visit Spain. I have 48 pages of docs submitted for last year's visa so I don't need an agent. What I want is help in securing an appointment to deliver the application and support docs from someone who has navigated the system. Cheers.

This is a pretty good story of how security goes wrong. Certainly the victim could have done more to protect themselves but it sounds like Revolut did next to nothing to protect it's customers.

Most certainly any financial service provider should have some security with new accounts and the number of transactions/payments within a period of time.

They save you money because they reduce expenses... Security is apparently one of those expenses
