The soft power option was to get people into the country. The tourism and treasury departments don't give a stuff what happens after you've finished your two-week cooking class, provided you remain in the country adding to the economy. Immigration might think differently, but they'll soon have their wings clipped if they start messing people around

There is a 2000 baht fine for failing to file a 90-day report. Some people don't bother and are just happy to pay the fine. No big deal

Fraudulent applications? 😂. Many retirees want to get off the agent bandwagon and get a legitimate visa. You want to talk about fraud, go look at the agents who have been bribing government officials for years. Hopefully the DTV will put an end to that! ✅

No chance. It's the most successful visa in Thai history. It's bringing in so much foreign money
