I use wise to do a monthly transfer to Bangkok Bank. Over the past 3 or 4 it was almost instantly. But recently it usually takes a day or two.

If you go to the Post Office you can get an IDP for around £5 ( that's how it was 5 years ago). With this and your UK licence you can drive in Thailand for 90 days. Before this time is up go to your local DLT office and get a Thai licence. Strait forward enough, just watch an hour lomg video on line beforehand then carry out a simple test at the office.

There seems to be some confusion. You seem to be talking of bank statements and the bank letter. With Bangkok Bank you apply for the yearly statement 7 days in advance. When you pick your statement up you then request your letter and update bank book. Then with all this done go to immigration and request extension. This is how I do it in Nong Khai and immigration seems happy.

not always the case. Nong Khai DLT would not accept it and required a residence certificate. Previous application at Udon Thani my yellow book was fine. As everyone says every office is different, maybe even down to which officer you get.

I take two different blood pressure tablets everyday. Once every 5 months go to the local government hospital. Have blood test to ensure tablets aren't causing liver and kidney problems. See a doctor for a chat then get another 5 months of tablets. All for the grand cost of 6-700 bht.
