Hi,

I'm an American currently in Vietnam.

I'm flying over to Thailand mid-Oct and wanted to stay for 3-months.

Is best option to go on e-visa website and apply for the 60-day tourist visa, then pay for a 30-day extension at immigration after I land?

I don't want to mess w/ timely border runs or any of that nonsense.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Everyone! Are there any Americans here thinking of moving abroad to be with their partners? Like closing the gap on their international long distance relationship? I'd love to connect with people who have plans to make the move. Big decisions!

Hello, I apologize if this question is not appropriate for this group, but I'm not sure where else to ask and I'm having trouble finding information online. I'm applying for an Ed Visa for a language school in KL and it says I need a certified criminal record. I'm wondering if there are any Americans who have done this and know what type of report is acceptable and how they got it. I tried to go to my embassy here but they said they couldn't help. Is there any way to get this while in Thailand or KL?

I’ve read all the threads on the new requirements for proof of funds for retirement extensions. Two questions now if anyone has direct experience or knowledge:

1) If I retired less than 12 months ago (6) and have been depositing funds (> 65k/mo) in my Thai bank account for that period of time, is that sufficient to prove the 65k baht per month requirement? Or do I need to actually wait 6 more months to show an entire 12 month history? (Was on multiple entry tourist visa, now on a follow on single entry tourist visa).

2) What proof do I need to ask my Thai bank to provide for immigration?

Thank you for any actual knowledge on the new requirement for Americans no longer using an embassy letter.

So I am planning on going to Thailand in the summer between May and late June. So obviously I have to get a visa to for the extended 30 days, but will it be an issue if I were to leave early or miss a flight back home and overstay? I am from America by the way.
