Hi after some advice re registering address and 90 day reporting. For the last year and a half I have been living in Udon Thani with a woman, staying at her house. I registered with immigration when I first moved there. Also I have a yellow book for the address. We have now gone our separate ways and I have moved to a different province. At the moment I am staying in hotels so I assume no problem with TM30 registration as this will be done by the hotel. In the next week or so my plan would be to find some long term accommodation. What I would like to know how it works. Somehow I will have to register at this new address. I also have a 90 day report due in the next 3-4 weeks. And finally what happens about the yellow book. I would be really grateful for any info or guidance on how to sort things out. If it makes any difference I am here on a yearly extension of a non o visa for retirement.

I have had 4 different rental addresses in 2 provinces-Surin and Udon Thani. In all cases, the landlords were not familiar with the requirements. Since technically the TM30 is supposed to be filed within 24 hours of occupancy, I did it myself, right or wrong. I always filed personally at immigration to avoid any backlash. I asked the landlords to provide a copy of their ID card and a copy of their proof of property ownership. I had them sign and date each copy, and I filled out the form myself, along with my personal information. Never had a problem.

The landlord will file the TM30 for you, just like at the hotel. You may have to push a little, but it’s so easy for them to do online. Ask for them to send you the copy of the TM30 registration. You’ll need to print that & go to the TM30 office to receive the official TM30 slip for your passport (not the same as the print out from the website). You can do this the same day as your 90 day & file your 90 day after you get the TM30 slip.

If you don’t have a permanent accommodation before your next 90 day, you’ll get the same info from the hotel & follow the same procedure.
