Hi, I’m a remote worker and I previously applied for the DTV in my home country, but my application was rejected. They asked me to additionally submit my 2024 tax reports and the business registration of the company owner and I submitted. (I don’t own a company, I simply work for a multinational company.)
The issue was that the owner’s name was not included on the company’s business registration in the country where the company is registered, so I was not able to provide that document. I believe this may have been the reason for the rejection.
I’m planning to go to Hanoi and apply again, and I’m wondering if I would need to submit those documents again (the tax reports and business registration), since they should already have my previous application on record.
I am on the DTV visa. I am interested in playing in an upcoming chess tournament here in Thailand. Chess is just a hobby for me. However, there is prize money if you win. Are such activities permitted on DTV?
I'm an engineer from Malaysia who is trying to relocate to Bangkok but, no companies are willing to sponsor a visa or a work permit hence making it hard to land a job, will it be a good idea to get a teaching certificate instead and work as an English teacher before switching jobs with the work permit that I will be provided as a teacher.Does that improve my chances in any way?Anyone care to share their thoughts on this please.
Looking for a legal firm that specialises in moving companies from country of origin to Thailand. (I would close the company in country of origin. Legal firm would open the company in Thailand. Help set up bank accounts. Issue share certificates. Submit Accounting & company monthly & annual submissions.) Scope of business is passive income from software not dealing with any clients in Thailand. I would like to know if this qualifies us for business visas. 100% owned by foreigner. Happy to pay company & personal tax in Thailand.
I’d love to ask for some advice about job options for my husband. He’s on a marriage visa and is trying to decide whether to find a remote job based in the US (most of those won’t allow him to stay in Thailand long-term), or look for work here in Thailand as a foreigner.
He has a master’s degree in biology from one of the UCs (University of California), but doesn’t have a teaching credential beyond TA experience. Would teaching biology at an international school be possible for him? We’re based in Korat.
Any advice or recommendations would be really appreciated! 🙏💛
I'm on holiday at the moment. My question is: Can I pick up Rubbish on the side of the road using a pale or bag and not get in trouble? Do I need a work permit to do so?
