This is definitely the most difficult part of the visa process.

Bangkok bank was the only one that would open an account for me, have you tried there (silly question I guess).

It did not look like that the last time I reported online, so I think it has changed.

What are the options for your current visa?

I ask because there should be one for non O .

As others have said there are pros and cons to both.

The main pro for Philippines is the language, but depending on where you live in Thailand many people speak English and there's always translation apps!

Pretty much everything else is much better in Thailand; infrastructure, healthcare, safety (unless you want to ride a motorbike at night drunk and with no helmet!), food, they drive on the left, so that's easier for you I think. Renting a decent condo is also cheaper in Thailand. It might be cheaper to buy terrible food in the Philippines, but if you eat Thai food it is fabulous and not expensive here.

For me Thailand is an easy winner, I always feel completely safe here in Thailand. I cannot say I felt the same in the Philippines.

🤣🤣🤣 I called you a pedant, not a pendant!

Look up the word pedantic before trying to be sarcastic!

I am not an expert, but you will need it translating first and then notarised at the Department of Consular affairs.

If you go there are people that will do the translation in an hour or 2, but phone and book an appointment for the afternoon at the Consulate so that you can do it all on the same day.

Nobody can answer this question Julie.

Depends what you want, for example do you want to be near the beach or in the mountains

@Selena *****
sent by post from immigration?

If so, I got one yesterday from Sriracha immigration so that I can register my new car and they gave it to me immediately.

I think you are answering someone else's post, I didn't say it was a sound financial investment.

Everybody could probably do illegal things to earn money. I prefer to stay within the rules and in the scheme of things 800,000 is not a lot to lose a bit of interest on, but each to their own.
