Question about online 90-day check-in for retirement (non-immigrant O) visa. I've searched this forum, and don't see any similar challenges with the online process, so maybe they've changed the interface lately?

The categories they give for the visa type are not clear for me. What are the proper categories for current, sub-category, new visa category, new visa sub-cateory? I'm not changing my status, just want to do 90-day online check-in.

TIA for any info.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user sought assistance with the online process for the 90-day check-in required for their Non-Immigrant O visa, expressing confusion over the categories for the visa type. They reported difficulties navigating the updated system, mentioning they received an auto-generated email after submission but were unsure about receiving notifications regarding their application status. Further complications arose when their application was rejected due to an extension request rather than the intended check-in, leading to questions about distinguishing between the two processes.

Update: My application was rejected. I think it's because I applied for an extension, not a 90-day check-in. Are those 2 different things?

When I went back to the site just now, the only options are: 90-day extention, and check status of application. How do I just do 90-day check-in?

Ah, now I see why. The reason they gave is because I need to update my housing . . . it's always something. We didn't know this, but a hotel we stayed at in Phayao registered us, so that cancelled our Chiang Mai address.

So I made it through the website, and received an auto-generated email with a TM 47 form attached to it. When I log in to check my status, it just says, "Pending." My 90 days is up on Monday. Will I receive some kind of notification? Or just keep checking the site every day? TIA for info. ๐Ÿ™

Thanks, everyone.

I did mine (non-o, retirement) this morning and it was approved within 90 minutes. I didn't have to fill any of those fields.

It did not look like that the last time I reported online, so I think it has changed.

What are the options for your current visa?

I ask because there should be one for non O .

Thank you - that's a different site, and seems more logical. However . . . when I started to fill out the form, I realized they never stamped me back into the country. I arrived back in Thailand July 15, and there is no proof of that in my passport. Any suggestions on what to do?

Here's what the stamp looks like. Confusing.

that says until 9 May 2024 the IO has altered it.

You're right - it was on a page way up front, completely out of sequence. But it shows my entry as July 15, and underneath says, "Until 13 Aug 2023". What does that mean? My visa doesn't expire until next May.

@Joanne ***********
in which case you got a 30 day visa exempt stamp on entry, you could have big problems.
Brandon ************
@Joanne ***********
that sounds highly unlikely. You need to re-examine every page of your passport and look inside of other stamps

Which website are you using?
