my Thai wife had the personal household shipped in her name. It cost from memory 10,000bt for the ports authority and 3,800bt for the import agent who were the exporting agents in the UK, and assigned the import agent in Thailand. Trust you'll be able to provide a Thai telephone number (and email, and address in Thailand for the personal household goods to be eventually delivered your address in Thailand) to your shipping company / exporter in the US for that number, and email address to be passed on to the import agent in Thailand. Make sure it's 'Door to Door shipping, also to include all delivery costs to your address in Thailand.

Be more concerned how the Ports Authority of Thailand and the Thai Import Agent will need / require in Thai Baht to release, and process your shipped pallet of whatever it is.
