yes but each bank manager can add additional requirements and it should not be that way. It should be the same requirements for all branches.

they are not, they are just cautious. I do believe, however, that all branches of the same bank should have the same standard for opening a bank account and the branch manager should not be able to add any other requirements.

there aren't any Thai Consulates in Thailand. You go to an Immigration Office.

it is actually fraud as number 1, that money is supposed to be yours transferred from your country. Number 2 it has to be in your account for a certain amount of months and not drop below 400k. Number 3 it is most likely obtained by a bribe to the IO. The visa stamp will be real but the way it was obtained was fraudulent.

You can only have one visa. A dtv is a multiple entry visa but you must meet the requirements of the Thai Embassy you will be applying through.
