TLDR : Answer Summary
The user intends to submit paperwork for a one-year marriage visa extension and inquires whether four months of bank statements from Bangkok Bank will suffice. According to comments, the general requirement is for bank statements from two months prior, so the user's four months of statements should be adequate. Additionally, some users share their experiences regarding marriage certificates and transactional requirements during the visa application process.

I renewed my marriage visa in Phuket last week. They asked us for a certificate to prove we are still married, so we had to take our original marriage certificate to the local town hall, queue for a mind numbing 4 hours and finally get the certificate.
Oh, and we had the bank statement & certificate from the day before but that wasn’t enough: they also required that the bank book had a transaction on the same date we submitted the application

Why do people pay for bank statements?
I update my bank book every month + the day I apply for my extension, print out 2 copies of the past years' pages and submit them to immigration
mileage varies from office to office. Phuket wants both a bank statement and a bank certificate, resembling a letter, both signed and stamped, no more than 7 days old, indicating the account balance of 400k for at least 2 months before submitting the extension application. Each of these certificates are 100 THB. This is in addition to the bankbook printed transaction on the day of application. I just did mine last week.
On another note, last Monday I arrived at the IO at 9:35 am, and they told me all the queue numbers had been given out by 9:10! So the next day, I put the wife on the line by 8:00 am, while I went to the bank for the bankbook update, and when I returned at 8:40, we got number 26. They were by number 12 before shutting for lunch. I got lucky and number 26 was called at 2:30 pm. We were out by 4:30 pm. Moral: be there by 7:00 am. Again, YMMV, as situation is always fluid.
because these days they don’t update bank books with every transaction. The immigration office needs to see that the balance required has been kept for the amount of time required.
Perhaps different banks have different ways. I know when I update mine (I don’t do it every month) I only get the last couple of transactions. Nowadays with QR codes I rarely use cash. I would guess I’d need a new bank book every month if they recorded each time I bought a banana from the street vendor.
