Hi , can I get advice please, I exited Thailand on 23-3-25 after a eight month stay , (broken up by a boarder run and two weeks in Vietnam) so in that eight month period I was in Thailand for over seven months …. I was told by immigration I cannot re-enter Thailand for a six month period….. I’m now in The Philippines wanting to book a trip to London / Heathrow,, nearly all the flights go via Bangkok ,, self transfer ….. Will I be allowed to enter Thailand as technically I have to go through customs to claim my baggage to rebook on connecting flight ?? TIA..
Does the DTV bar you from conducting any work in Thailand OR working for a Thailand-based company? For example, I also do professional speaking. I'm American. Could I get hired to speak in-person at a corporate event or retreat in Thailand that is put on by an American company?
I currently have DTV Digital nomad visa. I want to open a bank account. Has anyone opened one recently and can you send me info on the provider through dm?
1.) Generally speaking, it is much more "easy and straightforward" to apply for a DTV at a Thai Embassy/Consulate nearby Thailand:
Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Philippines, Laos, perhaps Malaysia, etc.
2.) Even at Thai Embassies/Consulates in some OECD Member Countries, the overall process could also be described as "easier and more straightforward", such as:
Australia, UK, USA, etc.
3.) Nevertheless, curious about field reports/experiences of applying for a DTV at the Thai Embassy in Tokyo
4.) From new information on the Website of the Thai Embassy in Tokyo, it seems that non-residents of Japan PERHAPS may be able to apply for a DTV E–Visa at Tokyo, as the stated evidence for "non-residents of Japan" is:
Entry Stamp into Japan showing the Passport Book #,
e.g. older versions of USA Passport Books do not have the Passport # on every page of (older) USA Passport Books
5.) Also, even though all Thai Embassies and Consulates accept and issue E–Visas via the Thai eVisa website, the Thai Embassy in Tokyo has a "Preliminary Consultation" specific for DTV E–Visa applications BEFORE submitting a DTV E–Visa application on the Thai eVisa Website
Oh dear me. There is a shock. You cannot work in Thailand, even remotely, on an Elite Visa. Pretty much redundant with DTV. Unless I am missing something.[members only]
I currently live in the U.S and we’re planning on moving to Thailand this June. I plan on applying for my DTV next month but when you add your spouse to your DTV, does there visa have any restrictions or would it be the same DTV like will they be able to leave and come back freely on their own? and is it better to apply online or at a consulate general office?
I am on a DTV visa as a freelancer. Can I open an online shop, make handmade artwork, sell and ship from Thailand to non-Thai customers, or will this be considered a local business? Any advice?
