Not always true. I've had Scoot Airlines check mine before...but the onward ticket was another Scoot flight, so maybe that's why. And it actually checked out as a legit ticket on their own system👍🏻
Yes, the first visa exempt you can extend at immigration for another 30 days. Easy to do and only 1900 baht each. Then do a visa run to get another 30 days...you can extend that one, too, if you want.
