Agreed. So much hassle and requirements for a simple tourist visa. So much easier and stress free doing visa exempts, extensions and border runs. And more adventurous and fun.
Land border runs can be costly and a pain to deal with. An army of ppl waiting to try to rip you off. Take a flight to a neighboring country, Vietnam, for example. Do an immediate turnaround, or spend a few days there, then come back.
And it always looked like a headache gathering the requirements, then mailing your passport off. Ah, to each their own. I'll spend what's usually 3ish hours at immigration.
Man, I just don't understand why people go through all the hassle of applying for a tourist visa if they're just coming for less than 2 months. Plus, 2 months visa exempt only costs 1900 baht...isn't a 60D tourist visa more expensive, or about the same?
