Anonymous participant 845 in most cases, true. But logically, he wouldn't be asking if he didn't have a particular circumstance that makes it harder 🤷🏼‍♀️

I think he means enter on visa exempt, which is very much possible but not recommended.

yes, you can upgrade it. I've helped friends do it. Just select long stay visa and take pics of your printed visa. If the auto system doesn't work, call customer service.

You can use truemoney for grab, but with individual taxis, you have to ask the driver

do you never go to 7-11? Cuz they only take Truemoney wallet, not PromptPay. Truemoney is very relevant even without full account. I have had a Thai bank for 15 years so don't really use my truemoney to scan, but I still use it all the time in 7, with grab, or whenever there's a discount online for checking out with truemoney. I never use the upgrade features yet use it daily.

you can buy things in 7-11, Tesco, big c, anywhere that accepts TurMoney payment. Online shopping too. Also transfer to friends on true money. Dude said it's useless but it's actually very useful. Plus, most Thai people have truemoney, so even if you didn't upgrade, you can scan plenty of mom and pop places cuz many are happy to accept a private transfer on their phones.

But yeah, upgrading to full account is easy too, and then you can scan PromptPay (the QR payment everyone else is using).

I have a Thai bank but still use true money often cuz 7-11 doesn't do PromptPay, only truemoney wallet.

I used them, they were great. I'm usually not the type to go through an agent, always just did my own paperwork, but in my case this time it was a little more complicated and I worried about rejection, with the stakes being very high for me personally, so I bit the bullet and paid the extra. May e I woulda been ok without them, but I was happy to pay for the peace of mind 👍🏼

maybe it was just the staff processing the OP's paperwork that made the mistake then? And then they realized it, which is why they asked for follow-up paperwork after.

DTV is a type of trouist visa, so follows the rules of needing to activate the visa within 3 month of application.

I've gotten wrong answers from AI too. It's not an oracle, make it task busy work for you, not be your teacher.
