You can get any brand of deodorant on Lazada (SE Asia's answer to Amazon). I get Secret, and my son uses Speedstick or Old Spice. Whoever told you it isn't readily available lives under a rock and must not shop online. Check Lazada.co.th for products you're thinking are rare, and check if the price difference is worth it.

I've found that good sunblock is cheaper back in the states, and it's worth bringing any specific type of American (or where ever you're from) snacks or candies that are not so internationally popular. For me, that's RedVines, butterfinger, feastables chocolate, airheads, hidden valley ranch, beef jerky, sweet chopped jalapeno from trader joes, tapatio sauce, cans of refried black beans for Mexican nights.

Most of those can be found on Lazada too... But at 10x the price, so doesn't make it worth it.

Where ever you're from, think of the foods/treats that you enjoy and might want, and start plugging them into Lazada. You might find that some things you think are stable everywhere, are actually just popular in your country and might be harder to find abroad. It's not always what you think.

you sound like someone who hasn't hit middle age.

It's like the people without kids that try to say sugar doesn't affect children 😏

Anonymous participant 972 It's called G10 Guest House in Bandung. Honestly the owners are so awesome, it's what made the difference for us- they hooked us up with so much insider info and good deals, that it turned this trip from being a forced bummer to being a really fun holiday. We were going to just spend a night or 2 here and then carry on, but we ended up staying the whole time and doing the best daytrips from here. Off-roading, ATV, luge, waterfalls, Gunung Padang, hot springs, tea plantation, taking us out into the city to find all then hidden gems and best restaurants... it's been amazing.

Anonymous participant 266 True in most cases, and fine for the majority of people submitting. As I've mentioned, I've been dealing with visas in Thailand for many years and also never have felt the need to use an agent- rolled my eyes at the money people have wasted. But my situation is a little different at this point, which is why I went this route 👍👍 Could I have done it myself? Yeah, and probably could have pulled it off- but the risk would have been a lil higher, and I have way too much at stake.

They told me it had been a really long time since they'd had any embassy request an interview, so they said it wasn't really a concern. I think the fact that they make sure the initial application documentation is thorough, then the chances of an interview request from there is slim to none.
