Entered Thailand on 5th November with a UK passport. Left on 6th January and was fined for two days overstay. Unintentional just a minor administrative issue.
I plan to return on 1st April until 4th April for a tattoo and online work. I have onward travel booked. Likelihood of being granted entry?
I assume it will be no problem but just wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation with the current restrictions being tightened. TIA.
I entered Thailand in November 2024 with a Single Entry Tourist Visa, used it fully including the extension, and then did two visa runs, extending those as well. In total I stayed until 31 July 2025 (around 8–9 months in Thailand).
Since then I’ve been outside Thailand and now plan to re-enter on 16 March 2026 visa-exempt.
I know that nobody can give a definite answer since it always depends on the immigration officer, but I’d be interested in your opinions or experiences. Does being outside Thailand for about 7–8 months usually reset the pattern, or could this still raise questions at immigration?
Does an eight year-old child from the US need an E visa to re-enter Thailand? We left using her US passport, although she has dual citizenship because she was born in Thailand and also has a Thai passport.
Previously, I thought that when you went abroad, like to Japan, and then came back to Thailand, you had to report in-person at Chiang Wattana Immigration Division 1 within 24 hours!
About a month ago, I even made an appointment to save myself five hours of waiting.
When I arrived and showed them that I had re-entered Thailand yesterday (February 23rd), they told me I did NOT have to report right away. Instead, my new report date is May 23, which is exactly 90 days from February 23. See the picture.
So this seems to be how it works now. When you leave Thailand and re-enter, your 90 days resets from the date you return. You do not have to rush to immigration in-person within 24 hours.
Just sharing this so nobody else scrambles to the immigration office unnecessarily.
I do think you still need to report in-person. But maybe can do online afterwards. You could try online, but I’m not sure it will work.
Hello guys, I have been in Thailand last 3 months, 60 day visa exemption and 30 days extension, I came to Vietnam 4 days before and I’m coming back to Thailand tomorrow, is possible that I have any por or to entry at the country?
