I recommend not booking your trip to leave Ho Chi Minh until everything’s completed as there’s no set time for getting your approval. Shouldn’t take long to get your response by email but could be up to 1 week possibly longer

I left it in for 6 months, if you can id recommend it to be safe, I’ve heard some required 3 months and some 6. Even for where I applied (Hanoi) i heard it was either 3 or 6 so to be safe I did 6.

I’d say to be safe 3-6. I’m currently applying again with it showing for 6 months, after being denied 6 months ago for only having it in my account for 1 month😅(didn’t know at the time). As others said it’s embassy specific, maybe even just up to the officer you’re dealing with 😂

I didn’t have to pay the 10k in Laos since they didn’t accept the application that time. So I think they only take the payment if they determine you meet the requirements. I even handed them the 10k with the paperwork although it wasn’t asked for

when I went to Laos Vientiane a couple weeks ago I was told at least 3 months of the account showing 500k as it says on their website. Were you told 6 months or this is just what you showed them?

not sure what visa you have, it was just the 60 day entry that you can extend 30 days, then regardless of what they said, that’s and instance where you need to extend for another 30 days after the 60 days ends, and pay the 1900 baht extension fee, (if this was your scenario). But 2000 isn’t terrible as I know some people that were deported 5 years for overstaying not that long and should have only had to pay a fee (according to the Thai laws)🤷🏾‍♂️

Idk if it was intentional. I’ve had to explain to a Thai friend whose maybe in her late 40s that saying I’m “getting so black” as her meaning the suns been making my skin get darker since last they saw me” isn’t really the best way to say that 💀among some other things(other people). I think one of the staff at my condo is racist though 😂
