If I apply for a DTV and my wife 'follows' do we need to show 1mil baht or is 500k on a joint account ok? Also, do you apply for both at the same time? Anyone here have experience applying with a follower on DTV?
I am a HK PR and would like to apply from HK. I have the $150k required but it hasn't been in my account for 3 months. I am not currently working so would a sponsorship letter from my partner along with their bank account statements suffice?
I should also add I am pregnant and planning to have the baby in Bumrungrad in Oct/Nov. Has anyone applied for the DTV under the medical route to give birth? I have already talked to the hospital and they have said they will provide letters etc.
If HK is too picky, would Taipei be a good next option as they mention they accept sponsorship letter on their website.
I'm currently in Vietnam and will apply for a DTV here. I intend to apply via the soft power Muay Thai option.
I will only have had the GBP equivalent of 500k THB in my primary account for 1 month prior to my application.
I can also show a monthly UK sourced income of the equivalent of 45000 THB per month. I'm not sure if this would benefit my DTV application in any way.
Would a 3 month UK bank statement showing the 500k THB for just 1 month be enough to satisfy the requirements in Vietnam?
Prior to this the money was scattered across different accounts and in investments.
Has anyone had a DTV approved in Vietnam with the money only showing present for 1 month?
I applied for a soft-power visa in HCMC, but my DTV application was rejected due to income issues. Honestly, I'm frustrated with . Thai embassy in HCMC. Now, I'm planning to head straight to Hanoi. Does anyone know if it's possible to apply again in Hanoi just one week after being rejected in HCMC? If not, would it be better to apply from Laos instead?
I applied for the DTV on March 4th, and received a rejection today stating "*Mismatched date of birth on application (12 March 2025)*". I was told I have to reapply and pay again, and this time when I was filling out the application form, I noticed that when I uploaded my passport into the application, it automatically changed some of the information I already input manually.
It changed my birth date and the passport expiration date. So I'm assuming that this is what happened the first time. So, learn from my mistake and triple check your information before moving on to the next page, even if you think you already confirmed.
Im an investor in dubai, bought property over 2 mil and have uae golden visa as well.
Im gonna rent the apartment either as direct long-term or short term via a property management company in dubai (renting out on airbnb and other platforms).
I wanna get thai DTV visa. Do i have a chance? As freelancer/self employed? I assume my business will be my property or properties rental in dubai.
The property income will be approx 4-5k USD / month.
I am applying for the Thai DTV visa from the Washington Embassy. I’ve seen many posts mentioning that applicants have included a letter of intent and bank statements showing their monthly income. However, the official website only lists the required documents as proof of current location, financial proof of 500,000 THB, and an employment certificate. Would adding these extra documents be beneficial? And if so, where would I submit them since there doesn’t seem to be a designated place?
If I am getting royalties that pay for my living does that qualify as a work DTV? I file taxes under a sole proprietorship but could show the monthly deposits from the companies that pay me.
Just wondering, I fortunately (or unfortunately) already have the Medical soft power DTV as I need to go to thailand for a lot of medical care anyway.
Hi all! Where in Vietnam can I apply for the DTV? I'm currently on Phu Quoc island, can I apply and get the DTV here? As far as I understand one must apply online, but where do they place the visa sticker in your passport?
I will stay here until end of April. Is it OK if I apply for and get the visa 2 months before I intend to go to Thailand, or should I wait and only apply closer to my travel date?
