Yes overstaying IS our/your responsibility. However I do sympathise in some cases as when your waiting for an employer to produce the correct paperwork it can be a nightmare (here). I generally start to hassle EVERYONE involved in getting my paperwork sorted months in advance and even then it usually goes down to the last few days. Also, I think looking at some of the recent posts, overstay at the moment is definitely NOT ok, maybe you should show them the recent posts about being deported - email, message and tell every single person involved in your paperwork asap. Unfortunately it means being a ‘proper pain in the ass’ people will tell you to relax and that it’s ok - until it isn’t.
Yes my landlady announced that my house ‘isn’t registered with the post office’ probably along with the other seven houses that have been here for many years. I’ve had my Thai driving registered here along with a few resident certificates. I wonder what would happen if the tax office started to cross reference immigration documents against the properties that are rented out...
Hmm. I was planning on stretching my non imm B multi out until next February. I’m wondering now if I should go and get my Non O based on marriage a bit sooner? My Lawyer advised me to do this but then again she wants my Money.. tough call? - *and yes, original tambien Baan very hard to produce without its Thai owner attached to it.
