OK. Read it for the fourth time and think I understand it now. So! This comes up a lot. Answer seems to be... See how you get on.

Yes, you can enter visa exempt and extend, no problem.

May have an issue with return (onward travel) beyond initial 30 days. Just hbe prepared and maybe either rent a ticket from one of those websites os buy a cheap ticket to KL on the spot. Just give yourself some time. Immigration isn't the problem really, itl be the airiines.

If you get a TV then you will be granted 60 days (extendable once for 30). Can't see the problem if you're only staying 50 days.

Go back to immigration around the 24th November for the covid extension, your timing is perfect. Takes you through to late Jan

There's tons of information on this page alone on the 60 day tourist visa (extendable once for 30 days) and some info on the STV (not so much as its not so popular, but that might change in the future).

As for the covid extension, currently the opportunity to get this ends on November 26th, that wil take you through to mid to late January!

The covid extension wil be around as long as the emergency decree is in place. When the emergency decree ends, so will the covid extensions. Wil they extend the emergency decree one more time? Who knows.
