Just checking. I'm heading off to Kul on 1st April to apply for my visa on the 2nd. I know it doesn't say it on the form below, but, as the 2nd is Easter Monday, I was wondering if anyone knows if this date is a public holiday in Malaysia. Thanks folks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is inquiring if April 2nd, known as Easter Monday, is a public holiday in Malaysia while applying for a visa. The community's responses clarify that Easter isn't acknowledged as a public holiday at Thai consulates in Southeast Asia, while providing information about Malaysia's holiday calendar, noting that Easter does have some recognition in certain areas.

Check the USEmbassy website in Malaysia. They have a tab for holidays which includes both US & MY.

It’s dated Nov 2017. I’d think there’s a 2018 updated version?

Thanks Ivan. I was just checking I'm not missing anything. I've lost count count how many times friends have been caught out by one public holiday or another.

It's majority Muslim but only 60%, they do have a substantial Christian minority and Christmas is a public holiday. Easter (Good Friday) is a holiday as well in East Malaysia. It's not an unreasonable question. I see they don't have Christmas listed on that, but the consulate in Penang has been closed on Christmas in past years.
