Are there any friends staying in Thailand (specifically Burmese) with 60 days tourist visa or Special Tourist Visa( 90 days)? Can the tourist visa be extended further within Thailand after two months?I just saw the announcement that after coming Nov, Covid Visa cannot be applied anymore. So,do we need to be out of the country once the visa is expired? I just really don’t see reliable resources regarding tourist visa for Thailand.😅😅
Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around extending a 60-day tourist visa or a Special Tourist Visa (90 days) in Thailand. It highlights that the 60-day tourist visa can be extended for an additional 30 days while the Special Tourist Visa has limited information available due to its unpopularity. There is also mention of the looming end of the Covid visa extensions by November 26, raising concerns about the necessity to leave the country upon visa expiration. The community seems to be uncertain about future policies regarding visa extensions and the emergency decree.

There's tons of information on this page alone on the 60 day tourist visa (extendable once for 30 days) and some info on the STV (not so much as its not so popular, but that might change in the future).
As for the covid extension, currently the opportunity to get this ends on November 26th, that wil take you through to mid to late January!
The covid extension wil be around as long as the emergency decree is in place. When the emergency decree ends, so will the covid extensions. Wil they extend the emergency decree one more time? Who knows.
They keep extending it, things might change with the 1 day quarantines but I doubt until quarantine is gone or borders are open they will stop doing the covid extensions, it’s easy money for them
