Anyone got any idea what this green stamp means? Turned up in the girlfriends Thai passport on arrival on the 2nd and had to go to the headmistress office upon leaving. No questions asked, just some scrutiny. Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The green stamp in a Thai passport indicates that the individual was fingerprinted upon entry and exit from Malaysia. This sticker serves as a biometric link between the passport and the individual's biometric record. It is common for non-chipped passports to receive this additional sticker, which is partially removed upon departure. The presence of the stamp can lead to additional scrutiny during immigration checks, especially for certain nationals.

I think they fingerprint everyone. They did mine, and I'm an American

That is the sticker noting she was fingerprinted entering and exiting Malaysia. The bar code ties the passport to the biometric record.

It's well documented in Google if you want more info.

Single Thai women (and probably other nationals) are frequently pulled aside in many countries for a while as the immigration officers look for signs of drug and or human trafficking.

I think it's just the additional sticker that they put in non-chipped passports. They remove half on departure, and leave behind the bit you see here. Not sure why Thai immigration wouldn't be used to this.

I have green stickers in my old passport but not my new one.

It is. The chip carries biometric data, so you don't get the sticker on the way in.
