Please.... Does anyone have a recent example of the Guarantee Letter IN THAI for the non O, One year multiple entry visa available from the Consulate in Hochiminh City.

My wife doesn't read English and is loosing the plot with this. I've seen the one supplied by Todd but need it in Thay.

Take your missus, a a4 paper and a pen to Tanja and Joe guest house and restaurant in Bang Niang. Ask Tanja to translate it into Thai, tell her I send you. You can enjoy her food for dinner while waiting. or visit one of the other hundreds of shops where Thai people are working and speaking daily with tourists. Be creative.

The requirements for this are very lax. My wife wrote out a handwritten note in about five minutes, and they accepted it. It needs both your names and it must say that you're legally married and the documents are correct. Then she must sign it. The example posted above from Benjamin Hays is sufficient. Don't stress too much.

I would say add: I, name and id card nr, would like to ...... my husband name and passport nr.

Type it all out, make a print and let her sign.

Something like:

"To the Thai Consulate in HCMC,

I would like to respectfully request that my husband [name] holding passport [passport number] be granted a non-o visa. We have been together for X years and would like for him to be able to stay with me in Thailand.

I guarantee that all the attached documents are correct and can vouch for him if needed.

Yours respectfully,

[spouse signature]"

I think that should be easy to translate from English to Thai, right?

Write it yourself, get it scanned, send to her, get her to sign it and send it back to you? Thats what I did when I was stuck in HCMC anyways
