TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses various websites and platforms for booking train tickets in Thailand. While there isn't a single official Thai rail website widely recognized, several users recommend the Dticket platform, with links provided for accessing it and other booking sites like 12go.asia and thaitrainticket.com. Confusion about the official site is addressed, with a consensus emerging that Dticket is the preferred method for online bookings.

There isn't one, but you can use 12go.asia as a booking site. I think they add 50 baht to the fair.

Of course there is one and this is the only one you should use in order to be sure you have a genuine and fully refundable ticket. Thai railway offers a 100% refund up to 24 hrs before travel. After that it's 50% and the latest time you can get a refund is 4 hrs before departure time.

12go is a third party reseller who offers no added value whatsoever.
