Hey guys, our visa expires tomorrow, and we just wanted to do the covid extension. I didn't check for puplic holiday and now the office is closed ofc. Anyone has an idea what could happen on monday? Is it just a fine, or could this really effect our extension? TIA!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The question involves concerns about a visa expiring just before a public holiday, preventing the individual from renewing it in time. Responses from the community suggest that usually, if a visa expires on a holiday and the individual visits the immigration office the next business day, the overstay fine might be waived. The standard fine for overstaying is 500 THB per day, but due to the holiday, there are indications that this may not be enforced. Some commenters stress the importance of keeping track of visa expiry dates to avoid last-minute issues.

I’m going on Monday regardless if it’s a holiday. Don’t think anyone knows for sure as it’s not on their website either.

Hope you learned a lesson. Be at your immigration office when the doors open Monday or Tuesday. If your visa expires on a holiday and you are at immigration the next day it's open the overstay should be waived.

No fine due to it being a public holiday. I think Monday is also a public holiday. Just go in next day they are open. You wil Ave a stamp stating overstay waived due to public holiday. Don't get nicked in the meantime.

Thai visa 101. Don’t leave shit until the last minute

Due to it being a public holiday it is unlikely you will be fined the 500THB per day overstay if you go in on Monday.

If you go on Monday you'll get two days overstay, 1000 baht fine, and a small "Bad Boy" stamp in your passport!

It's up to the officer. 500,- thb overstay per day or maybe no fine because of holiday. Your extension should not be effected.
