How many visa-free entries and 30-days extensions can one legally do in one year? (entry by plane, French citizen)

I am a French citizen looking to stay in Thailand for 60 days instead of the regular 30 days. Do I need to apply online for a tourist visa, which apparently takes 5 weeks, or can I simply go to an office and get it done faster?

I need your advice for my situation regarding my tourist visa if you have knowledge about this.

As I’m French, I don’t need a visa to come as a tourist for less than 30 days (with possibility of extending for 30 days more).

Nevertheless I decided to apply in France for tourist visa to have to possibility to stay longer in Thailand (60 + 30).

I have a plane tomorrow for BKK and I’ve not receive my visa yet (the procedure is still pending). My ticket is changeable.

Can I still come on the basis of visa exemption whilst a tourist visa application is pending ?

FYI if it is relevant, I stayed in Thailand 10 months from mid July 2021 to mid April 2022 based on tourist visa + 4 Covid extensions.

I left the country for a month mid April 2022.

I already received my Thailand pass for this new trip.

Hi,

I just extended my tourist visa exemption with an extra 30 days, I am a French citizen.

After, I would like to get the 60 day "Covid visa". I wonder if someone has already gone thru this process, especially regarding the reason on the affidavit you choose. How much of a tangible proof do you need to bring to the reason you select? For example, do I really have to contact my embassy and prove they were "unable to issue the letter of confirmation and request for a temporary stay"...? 🤔

Is there a reason you guys selected that did not require any specific proof?

my friends are coming for 66 days in Koh Samui. They won't be able to get their tourist visa (there's a massive strike in public transport in France at the moment so no way to get to the Thai embassy). I'm trying to help them and find a plan B.

What in your opinion is the best course of action, knowing that there are French citizens, they speak very little English and one of them is sick in a bus so the solution must include airplanes only?

we need Laos visa to come in ? 🙄

I don't know if as French i have to , the video was from US guy. 🤔

Do I need a visa for Laos ?

If yes , how can i get one in Chiang Mai ?
