you can go soft power which is going to a cooking class, medical appointments, or Muay Thai classes. You don’t need monthly income for that. You just need the money in your bank account (500k฿).

yes, please let us know who you spoke with. I’ll be applying once I get back to Canada next month and I’d like to be able to get the “look over” of my documents, instead of being denied and losing the fee.

Thanks.

banked money and paper work. Need more money baked for the retirement visa but you need more paperwork for the marriage visa. I’m married and will turn 50 next year. I will be doing the retirement visa instead of the marriage one.

anything is possible but I wouldn’t count on it. Get there early enough and you will avoid it all together. Good luck.

500baht overstay fee and an overstay stamp in your passport. That’s the worse case scenario. If they are feeling generous, they will just give you the overstay stamp and not charge you.

As a Canadian, I’ve had some luck and other times I had to show onward travel.

With a METV you SHOULD be ok with a one way ticket. It’s actually up to the airlines if they want to chance letting you on the plane.

You can try it with a one way ticket and if they give you grief just purchase a cheap ticket out of Thailand there on the spot.
