TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion suggests various border run options for expats in Bangkok, focusing on easy and cost-effective methods. Popular destinations include Cambodia and Laos, with recommendations for timing and transportation. Travelers mention options such as early morning flights to border destinations and quick returns within the same day. Questions arise about visa duration upon reentry, with clarifications that Visa Exempt entries typically grant 60 days. The importance of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) for reentry is also highlighted.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

I don't personally do border runs however I do know people in Bangkok who do but I am not sure of the company's name .

I believe there are several..

My friends usually leave from somewhere near On Nut BTS station I believe..

So but that's about all I know.

If you want the cheapest and easiest way…buy a ticket from DMK - UBP for early morning then take a tuktuk/grab/bolt to the border from the airport…do a border bounce…return to the airport and return to DMK in the afternoon…super easy
Dan *****
@Jeremy *******
does a visa run needs to fill Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) ? At the return?
Jeremy ********
@Dan ****
yes that policy went into effect on 1 May so anytime you want to re-enter Thailand you have to fill it out…it’s been said that all your information is saved in the system so you just have to update it if it changes
Rob ******
@Jeremy *******
ChongMek border charge a “Fee” when entering & exiting the same day, look at ChongMek border on Google
Jeremy ********
@Rob *****
a RT ticket to DMK- UBP is only ฿1,900 THB…grab or car RT is probably ฿1,800 RT…visas and your day pass fee…is still worth it for not having to sit in a cramped van for 12 hours…

@Jeremy *******
Depends what you value more, money or time, You said “cheapest & easiest way”, Might be the easiest but not the cheapest

there is only 1 thing in life you can get back and that my friend is…time…so I value that over everything
