Anyone travel from Canada on an METV with a one way ticket? We did pre Covid, just wondering if that changed?
The Cdn Thai website says they want a round-trip ticket. Can we just show onward travel?
TLDR : Answer Summary
Traveling from Canada to Thailand on a multiple-entry tourist visa (METV) with a one-way ticket is possible, but it comes with certain considerations. The official Thai website mentions a preference for round-trip tickets, while individual airline policies and immigration officials may ask for proof of onward travel instead. Several users shared experiences indicating that they managed to enter Thailand without a return ticket. However, it ultimately depends on the customs agent's discretion at entry and the policies of the airline you fly with. Those applying for an METV via the E-Visa system may face stricter requirements, as it specifically states the need for round-trip flight information.
