Confused by everyone's conflicting information.

I'm Canadian

90 day air ticket booked and paid. If I arrive without a visa and just get visa free stamp on arrival for the 60 days but intend to add another 30 days extension. Will the lack of an exit flight in 60 days time be an issue. Or will the 90day exit flight I have booked make sense.

Hi all,

I’m looking for some advice regarding the pre booking of flights to Thailand.

I’m planning to visit under a 60 day tourist visa and then later apply for a 30 day visa extension. From what I see/read it seems getting a 30 day extension is pretty straightforward and rarely rejected.

I need to show immigration on arrival that I have flights booked to return to my home country so if I were to prebook my return flight based on my plans to stay 90 days, would that create any issues with immigration when I first arrive at the airport.

It's complicated.

Arriving in Thailand next week with my Thai lady.

Our UK return flights are scheduled for 3 months after our arrival.

1. Might I have issues (not being a Thai resident) in that my return flight is more than the 60 days automatic visa free stay period for UK nationals? I've been advised *by friends and acquaintances) everything from "forget about it, there'll be no problems" to "better book a flight out of Thailand before the 60 days, even if you don't use it" and "just book a bus to Vietnam during the 60 day period even if you don't use it".

1. It GETS WORSE in that I will actually leave Thailand by (aroundabouts) the 60 days (as yet unscheduled business appointments to keep in the UK) but will be booking flights from LOS to the UK and back, once the dates I must be back in the UK are confirmed, so that me and my Thai lass can return back to the UK together, as per the already scheduled flight.

1. When I return to Thailand, having been away as advised, should I go through immigration as a new arrival or do I need to go to the visa extension desk?

I hope that little lot is a little clear than appears, at first reading.

Any advice gratefully received.

Thank you.

I was going to come to Thailand for my next trip,on the new 60 exempt stamp, not so sure now,

The reason being.

I normally state 89 days stay in Thailand when I apply for an STV, then apply for a 30 day extension in Thailand.

Now if the IMO on entry checks my return ticket which would be in excess of the 60 days, I could be refused entry.

Anyone arrived on the new 60 day exempt rule with return ticket in excess of 60 days ?.

And everything else question please: when transiting through Don Mueang on 2 domestic flights without checked baggage do you need to exit and then check in again with the general public, or is there any transit desk airside where you can check in for the second flight ?

Hello!

Could you help me to understand if I need a flight ticket back to enter Thailand?

I am planning to travel with a single enter tourist e visa and then to extend my Visa at immigration office for more 30 days (to make my stay 3 months in total).

Do I still need a confirmed exit flight from the country no later than 60 days to enter Thailand?

If yes, can it be Any country?

Thank you!
