Nongnuch Kamdee Thanks again for the info. For personal reasons I have ruled out the O/A visa.

I’m grateful for your informative comments. Even after all my research I was hoping there was a way to keep the USD equivalent of 800,000 baht in my home account. True or not, I’ve read instances where getting all your money back out of a Thai account is not easy. 🤷

My plan for the past month has been to just pay an agent (I ignore the countless comments such as “why be stupid and waste your money?”).

But if you’re saying that I’m guaranteed to get a non O retirement visa by applying online from the USA then I might go that route. Will my three border runs possibly cause a denial? I cannot risk being rejected so paying an agent in my case is worth it IF necessary. Also, if I apply from the USA am I required to open a Thai bank account and if so is 800,000K baht needed? Thanks.

Honestly do you know of an agency that will do a non O retirement including the bank “trick” for under 39,000? If so please PM me the info. Thanks.

Jay Wick Yeah, I found an agency who offers exactly the same service (including lunch) for 600 baht cheaper but I’m very hesitant to switch. 🤷

I’ve used FTV both times and will likely use them once more. They pick me up near Klaeng on the way to Cambodia. Stress free always helps.

Okay thanks. I’m about to do my third border run (with an agency) then get a non O visa.
