Went to TTB Siam Paragon today. Rejected my application for a bank account as I do not have an “employment contract from a Thai company” under DTV. Tried my very best to explain that you cant work for a Thai company if you have DTV. But the guy was adamant that I need to work for a Thai company for me to get approved a bank account for DTV. Welcome to Thailand!

Is the residential house registration same as the lease? Which TTB branch did you apply with successfully?

I had mine approved using a muay thai gym at sathorn area. I applied in London.

Do your own research of DTV and see if you are qualified. Then, if you have additional questions, post it here.

Your DTV is active upon its issue (valid from date) and theres no need to activate it.

You can enter any time from the approval date.

when did you apply? I applied 14th November and they asked for an air ticket as an additional request.
